Fastpitch Coaches Meeting & Draft Saturday March 12th at 12:00pm

Greencastle Youth Softball Association will host the 2022 Fastpitch Coaches Meeting on Saturday March 12th at 12:00 P.M. at Greencastle Middle School. This meeting is for anyone who has signed up to coach a Fastpitch team. Assistant Coaches and helpers are also encouraged to join.

This season GYSA is conducting background checks for coaching staffs, therefore anyone who is involved with a team and has not filled out a background check form must attend the meeting. Background checks must be completed before participating in team activities.

The coaches meeting will consist of the latest updates on rosters and scheduling, rules and procedure changes for the league, and drafts where multiple teams are created.

Fastpitch Important Dates

The following is the schedule for the WCSL Coaches Scheduling Meetings

8U - Tuesday April 5th at 7:00 P.M. at Mill Creek West
10U - Wednesday April 6th at 7:00 P.M. at Mill Creek West
12U - Thursday April 7th at 7:00 P.M. at Cascade Fields
18U (Seniors) - Monday May 9th at 7:00 P.M. at Cascade Fields

Coaches have the option to begin practice the week of March 14th, but many often choose to start after Spring Break.

About Greencastle Youth Association

Greencastle Youth Softball Association is a non-profit, volunteer run organization located in Greencastle, Putnam County, Indiana. Diamonds are located east of Greencastle at the Big Walnut Sports Park. GYSA offers both Fastpitch and Slow Pitch recreation softball for girls ages 4-21 each spring.
