Greencastle Youth Softball Association is a non-profit, volunteer run organization located in Greencastle, Putnam County, Indiana. Diamonds are located east of Greencastle at the Big Walnut Sports Park. GYSA offers Fastpitch recreation softball for girls ages 4-18 each spring.

Our History

The Greencastle Youth Softball Association was born from the merging of the Putnam County Girls Softball League (PCGSLI) and the Greencastle Girls Fastpitch Softball Club (GGFSC). In order to consolidate resources, scheduling, and volunteers, the two leagues began merger negotiations in February 2016. A prevision of these negotiations was a coordinated trial effort to run the leagues as one in the Spring 2016 season.

The successful cooperation and execution of the 2016 Spring season lead to the permanent merger and official formation of the Greencastle Youth Softball Association. Officers were officially elected in the October 2016 Board Meeting.
