Tom Sutherlin Steps Down as League President, Board Elects Alex Cox

After 20+ years as coach, board member, and eventual league president, Tom Sutherlin will resign his post as president on Thursday November 5th. Sutherlin announced his intentions to step away during the elections section of the October board meeting. After providing a heartwarming speech thanking each of the board members for their support over the years, Sutherlin announced that "it was time to step away."

Following the news, the board set to work on nominating and electing a new president. After a brief discussion surrounding viable candidates, Alex Cox was quickly nominated and unanimously elected the new Greencastle Youth Softball President. Cox has served as a board member since 2016 and was elected Vice President of the Slow Pitch Division in December 2017. He will assume the position at the November board meeting on November 5th.

The Greencastle Youth Softball Association would like to thank Tom Sutherlin for his service over the years! He will be greatly missed.
