Division Updates Due to COVID-19

In a continued effort to support state and federal recommendations regarding the novel coronavirus (COVID-19), the Greencastle Youth Softball Association will be suspending all activities until at least May 5. The following are updates on specific divisions:

Greencastle Middle School - Due to school closings, the season has been cancelled and refund checks will be mailed out to the address on registration forms
WCSL Fastpitch - The WCSL will be meeting in late April to make a final determination on the season.
Instructional League - A final decision regarding this division will be made in late April
Slow Pitch - If the restrictions are lifted by late May or June, the Slow Pitch season will still be played with a slightly modified schedule which will be determined once the time frame is clear.

Please know that if the WCSL Fastpitch season is cancelled and we receive the all clear by late May or June, all Fastpitch girls will be welcome to participate in the Slow Pitch league. Our goal is to provide the ability for girls to play somehow with the guidelines provided by the government. We will continue to monitor all recommendations that are being submitted daily by the CDC and ISDH. We are asking all of our parents, coaches, and players to continue to monitor our Greencastle Youth Softball Association Facebook page, Instagram, and GYSA website for further updates.
