Fastpitch Coaches Meeting & Draft Wednesday March 11th at 6:30pm at City Hall

Greencastle Youth Softball Association will host the 2020 Fastpitch Coaches Meeting on Wednesday March 11th at 6:30 P.M. at Greencastle City Hall. This meeting is for anyone who has signed up to coach a Fastpitch team. Assistant Coaches and helpers are also encouraged to join.

This season GYSA is conducting background checks for coaching staffs, therefore anyone who is involved with a team and has not filled out a background check form must attend the meeting. Background checks must be completed before participating in team activities.

The coaches meeting will consist of the latest updates on rosters and scheduling, rules and procedure changes for the league, and drafts where multiple teams are created.

Fastpitch Important Dates

The following is the schedule for the WCSL Coaches Scheduling Meetings

8U - Saturday April 4th at 9:00 A.M. at Eminence
10U - Saturday April 4th at 10:30 A.M. at Eminence
12U - Saturday April 4th at 11:30 A.M. at Eminence
18U (Seniors) - Wednesday May 13th at 7:00 P.M. at Eminence

Coaches have the option to begin practice the week of March 16th, but many often choose to start after Spring Break. Opening Day and team pictures are scheduled for Saturday April 18th.

About Greencastle Youth Association

Greencastle Youth Softball Association is a non-profit, volunteer run organization located in Greencastle, Putnam County, Indiana. Diamonds are located east of Greencastle at the Big Walnut Sports Park. GYSA offers both Fastpitch and Slow Pitch recreation softball for girls ages 4-21 each spring.
