Final Open Softball Registration Event at Greencastle McDonald's

Join us on Saturday February 29nd from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at Greencastle McDonalds for our final walk-in softball player registration event. We will be registering players for Fastpitch, Slow Pitch, 6 and under Instructional League, and Middle School.

Fastpitch Important Dates

The 8u & 10u player evaluation day will be held on March 7th in the Greencastle Middle School gym starting 9:00 AM for 8u and 10:00 AM for 10u. The Fastpitch Coaches Meeting and draft is scheduled at 6:30 pm on March 11th at Greencastle City Hall. Players will be notified by coaches by March 15th with practices eligible to start as early as March 16th. Opening day is scheduled for Saturday April 18th.

Slow Pitch Important Dates

Draft Day will be April 18th at 1 p.m. at Big Walnut Sports Park for girls new to the league or those wishing to go back in the draft. Players will be notified by April 19th with practices eligible to start as early as April 20th. Opening Day is scheduled for May 16th. Additionally, the Slow Pitch Coaches Meeting is scheduled at 6:30 pm on April 7th at Greencastle Starbucks.

Instructional League Important Dates

Parents will be notified by April 5th with practices eligible to start as early as April 6th. Games are scheduled to begin on April 25th. Additionally, the Instructional League Coaches Meeting is scheduled at 6:30 pm on March 31st at Greencastle City Hall.

About Greencastle Youth Association

Greencastle Youth Softball Association is a non-profit, volunteer run organization located in Greencastle, Putnam County, Indiana. Diamonds are located east of Greencastle at the Big Walnut Sports Park. GYSA offers both Fastpitch and Slow Pitch recreation softball for girls ages 4-21 each spring.
