Coaches Code of Conduct & Ethics

Greencastle Youth Softball Association and youth sports play an important part in promoting the physical, social and emotional development of children. It is therefore essential for parents, coaches and officials to encourage youth athletes to embrace the values of good sportsmanship. Moreover, adults involved in youth sports should be models of good sportsmanship and should lead by example by demonstrating fairness, respect and self control. Coaches are required to reivew and sign a copy of the Coaches Code & Ethics form.

Coaches Responsibilities

Volunteer coaches are responsible for various tasks on and off the field. The Coaches Responsibilities form defines various tasks in addition to providing player instruction.

Background Check Policy for Volunteers

All coaches and adults who interact with players on a consistent basis must submit to and pass a background check. The Background Check Policy Form provides more information and the steps required.
